Verify spline count and output shaft type. For TH-400 and 4L80 transmissions, check for an o-ring on the output shaft; this yoke is fully splined and not counterbored, so if an o-ring is present, a different yoke is required. The yoke may have one or two missing splines inside the barrel (blind spots), which are by design and do not affect fitment.

The yoke is designed for 1355/1350 series U-joints (outside snap ring style) and has a 32-spline (30 teeth plus two blind spots) 1.374-inch diameter bore. It is nickel plated for corrosion resistance. You would replace this part when the splines are worn, causing driveline vibration or clunking, or when upgrading to a heavier-duty joint.
