This is an aftermarket flywheel assembly designed for Caterpillar 3400E, C15, C16, and C18 diesel engines. It transfers engine power to the clutch and transmission, using a flat face with a 10-inch pilot opening, SAE #1 housing, and a 15-inch clutch. Replacing the flywheel becomes necessary when you experience clutch chatter, slipping, difficulty engaging gears, or visible wear/damage. PAI manufactures this unit in the USA to meet or exceed original Caterpillar specifications, and it comes with a 2-year unlimited mileage warranty. Note that this flywheel requires shorter mounting bolts (PAI part number 5B0841) for proper installation.
