STUD EXHAUST MANIFOLD,CAT1061792

This is a heavy-duty exhaust manifold stud, manufactured by PAI, designed to replace Caterpillar OEM #1061792. It has 3/8"-16 coarse threads on both ends and is approximately 3-15/16 inches long. It threads into the cylinder head and the exhaust manifold is secured with a locking nut and spacer. These studs are common maintenance items on Caterpillar 3406 and C-series engines; they can stretch or break due to high exhaust temperatures and vibration, leading to exhaust leaks or manifold warping. Replace them whenever you remove the exhaust manifold for gasket or turbo work.
