The gasket seals the joint between the handle mechanism and the aerator housing, preventing air and product leaks during the unloading of powders, pellets, or other granular materials. Over time, the original gasket can harden, crack, or take a compression set, causing loss of aeration pressure and poor unloading performance. Replacing it restores a tight seal and efficient operation.
