This is a 1310 series differential pinion yoke (also called an end yoke). It bolts onto the pinion shaft of your rear differential and connects to the driveshaft through a 1310-series universal joint. It's typically replaced when the splines wear out, the yoke gets damaged, or the U-joint seat becomes out-of-round, causing driveline vibration. It requires a strap-style U-joint retention kit and matching 1310 U-joint.
