It’s used when you need to connect a 1310-series yoke, driveshaft, or slip yoke to a 3R-series component—common on older GM trucks and custom driveline builds. You replace this joint when it becomes worn, causing vibration or clunking, or when you’re intentionally mixing driveline parts. The grease fitting in the cross allows periodic lubrication to extend service life.
