It is designed to be welded onto a 3.000-inch outside diameter drive shaft tube with a 0.095-inch wall thickness. This yoke accepts 1480 series universal joints, connecting the driveshaft to the transmission or axle. It is replaced when the yoke ears are worn, damaged, or when building a custom driveshaft.
