It has two holes spaced 4-1/4 inches apart so that U‑bolts or threaded rods can clamp around the frame rail. The holes are sized 11/16 inch and 5/8 inch to fit specific hardware. Replace the tie bar when it is bent, corroded, or when mounting new equipment; the plain finish can be painted to match the chassis.
