This is an output shaft kit for heavy-duty Dana/Spicer drive axles, commonly referred to as a DS404 thru-shaft. It transmits power from the differential side gears to the wheel hubs. This kit is replaced when the original shaft shows wear, spline damage, or oil seal groove damage, which can cause axle play, fluid leaks, or driveline noise.
Fits specific Dana/Spicer heavy-duty drive axle models; always verify your axle model and serial number before ordering.
