This is a splined midship tube shaft for heavy-duty truck driveshafts, designed for use with outboard slip yokes.

It features a 1.375-inch diameter, 16-spline end that mates with a slip yoke to allow the driveline to adjust in length as the suspension moves. Over time, spline wear or tube damage can cause driveline vibrations, so replacement is necessary when excessive play or damage is detected. The tube is 3.000 inches in diameter with a .065-inch wall thickness.
