It is designed to slide onto the 32-spline rear output shaft of New Process NP205, NP208, NP241, NP243, NP246, NP261, or NP263 transfer cases, commonly found on GM 1500-series 4x4 trucks. The yoke allows the driveshaft to change length with suspension movement, and it must be replaced if the splines wear, the U-joint mounting ears become damaged, or as part of a driveline overhaul. It uses a 1330 U-joint (1.062-inch caps, 3.625-inch span) and includes the slip yoke plug.
