It is designed to weld onto a 2.500-inch diameter steel driveshaft tube with 0.083-inch wall thickness, and its ball stud connects to the centering ball assembly to allow flexibility and smooth torque transfer. The yoke uses non-greaseable 1330 series universal joints (1.062-inch bearing caps). It is commonly replaced when rebuilding a CV driveshaft on certain Ford, Dodge, or Jeep vehicles due to wear, vibration, or damage.
