Installation requires a 1310 series universal joint, a 2-inch diameter by .120-inch wall steel tube, and a mating non-greasable ball stud socket/flange yoke. This component must be professionally welded to the tube, and is commonly replaced when rebuilding or fabricating driveshafts for trucks, Jeeps, and off‑road vehicles.
