It secures the load bar into horizontal or vertical E-track (and A-track) rails inside trailers and box trucks. The patented side-release flat latch mechanism is designed to prevent damage when used in decking applications, since top-style latches can get bent when pallets or plywood are set on top of the beam. You would replace this latch if the original is bent, broken, or no longer securely locks into the track.
