This is an 1810 series heavy-duty slip yoke, designed for trucks using 1.938" bearing caps and a 7.547" wide u-joint. It accepts a 3.000" diameter, 16-spline shaft and measures 11.875" from the u-joint centerline to the end of the splined barrel. You typically replace it when the internal splines wear and cause driveline clunking or vibration, or if the yoke ears become elongated or damaged.
