Verify your truck uses a 12-volt system before ordering—this solenoid is 12V only and will burn up on a 24V system. For an earlier 855-only setup, the solenoid kit you need is PAI 180200 (replaces Cummins 3035342). Always check your engine serial number and the part number on the old solenoid to confirm fitment.

It mounts on the PT fuel pump: when you energize the solenoid, it pulls the internal fuel valve open so the engine runs, and when you turn the key off, it de-energizes and cuts fuel flow to stop the engine. The kit comes with the solenoid and two rectangular seal rings for a leak-free installation. You'd typically replace this if the engine won't start, idles erratically, or fails to shut down, because the old solenoid is stuck, burned out, or not holding firmly.
