It features a rotatable mounting flange, allowing you to align the starter housing to fit different engines without needing multiple part numbers. The pinion has 12 teeth with an 8/10 pitch, spins clockwise, and includes an electrical soft-start that engages the gear gently to reduce ring gear damage. It is typically used as a direct replacement on large diesel truck engines up to about 15 liters when the original 39MT starter fails.
