It controls the air-actuated range (hi/lo) and splitter functions, allowing the driver to shift gears smoothly using two knobs on the shift lever—a grey splitter slider and a black hi/lo flipper. The valve replaces worn or leaking original selector valves that cause shifting delays or air leaks in the shift tower. It mounts directly to the shift lever and connects via four 1/16-inch NPT air ports.
