SPLINED SLEEVE ASSY

This is a Spicer SPL170 series splined sleeve, commonly called a slip yoke sleeve, used in commercial truck driveshaft assemblies. It's the female splined component that slides over the male slip stub shaft, allowing the driveshaft to change length as the suspension moves. You'd replace this sleeve when the splines are worn, twisted, or damaged, causing driveline vibration, excessive play, or binding issues. Must be welded onto a new section of tubing or driveshaft tube by a qualified driveline shop.
