CUMMINS FRONT MAIN SEAL

This is a front crankshaft oil seal designed for Cummins 855 and N14 series engines, commonly known as a front main seal. It fits the 'bull nose' style crankshaft and prevents oil from leaking out of the front of the engine block where the crankshaft protrudes. You typically replace this seal when you notice oil leaking from the front of the engine, often during a front gear housing repair or a major engine overhaul. It includes a dust shield for added protection.
