This is a brass hex reducer bushing with male 1/4" NPT threads on one end and female 1/8" NPT threads on the other.

It allows you to connect a 1/8" NPT male fitting or pipe to a port that is tapped for 1/4" NPT, commonly found in air brake and air suspension systems on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. It is typically replaced when the original becomes corroded, cross-threaded, or when modifying plumbing lines. The bushing is made of brass for corrosion resistance and is a straight, one-piece fitting.
