It is commonly used for attaching wood floorboards to metal crossmembers in heavy-duty trailers, or for securing scuff plates and interior liners. The Type F point cuts its own mating threads into steel, and the countersunk flat head sits flush with the surface. Replace when floors become loose, screws are stripped or rusted, or during a trailer floor or scuff plate rebuild.
