CLUTCH ROD

This is a clutch release shaft (also called a cross‑shaft or clutch rod) measuring 9.625 inches long. It acts as the mechanical link between the clutch pedal and the release bearing, pushing the bearing to disengage the clutch when the pedal is pressed. You would replace this shaft if it is bent, worn, or causing clutch engagement problems, such as excessive play or difficulty shifting. It is commonly used on Peterbilt 387 trucks.
